Berkeley singer-songwriter Alexis Harte celebrates the release of his new album, Thirsty, with a special full-band performance at Sweetwater Music Hall.
Known for crafting songs that balance wit, heart, and hard-earned insight – and winning an Annie and a Peabody Award along the way – Harte’s music draws from the rich traditions of Americana, folk-rock, and roots music while remaining unmistakably his own. Thirsty is his most ambitious work to date—a collection of songs both deeply personal and universally resonant.
Joining him for the evening is The Lemon Hammer, the Bay Area band Harte has called home for more than fifteen years. Known for their irresistible blend of groove, grit, and harmony, The Lemon Hammer brings together Damond Moodie’s powerful vocals, Aaron Brinkerhoff’s driving rhythms, Ferg Lenehan’s thundering bass lines, and Harte’s soaring guitar work
Together, Harte and The Lemon Hammer will bring Thirsty to life with a high-energy set featuring the album’s songs alongside fan favorites, deep cuts, and a few surprises. Expect an evening of memorable storytelling, and the kind of musical chemistry that can only come from years of friendship and collaboration.
Come Thirsty.
“On a scene with no lack of smart, resourceful singer-songwriters, the Bay Area’s Alexis Harte has long distinguished himself with lovingly detailed tunes that transform his rootsy influences into a lithe, personal sound.” Andrew Gilbert – San Francisco Chronicle
The Lemon Hammer nails rock ‘n’ roll with some soul.” — Tony DuShane, San Francisco Chronicle
