For over 50 years, Bobby Weir has been a guiding light for Sweetwater, both as a founder and a musician. We’ve had the honor of hosting so many unforgettable performances by him – from intimate acoustic sets to electrifying jam sessions. He once said, “In a world of constant output, live music can offer a new insight, … a fresh perspective.”
With Bobby’s passing, we here at Sweetwater have lost both a dear friend and one of our biggest fans. In honor of his memory, our Board of Directors has established the Bobby Weir Memorial Fund, with an initial contribution of $150,000, and the support of the Weir family. This fund is intended to carry forward Bobby’s legacy by supporting artists, nurturing creativity, and ensuring Sweetwater remains a home for the kind of music and connection he believed in so deeply. Supporters are welcome to share a personal memory, which may be featured on our fund page, or to participate anonymously. Together, we’ll carry Bobby’s spirit forward, echoing through artists and audiences alike.
