El Pecado De Juana was formed in the summer of 2023. Consisting of Cesar Flores on guitar and vocals along with Ricardo Anzaldo on drums, El Pecado De Juana brings a contemporary feel to genres many folks have grown to love throughout the decades. Although they are a duo, they are known to invite other musicians to perform with them. They made their debut in Santa Cruz, CA where they played for a community event. Their repertoire includes boleros, latin indie rock and they incorporate other latin rhythms in their set as well. Both members have musical backgrounds and to this date have been involved in various musical projects. The band’s first two singles ‘Bugambilia Boogie’ and ‘La Hija Del Palomero’ were released in the winter of 2023/2024.
A year later, the group put out their first self-titled EP during the spring of 2025 with songs highlighting their soul/bolero influences such as ‘Ayer’ and ‘Flor En El Jardin’ as well “fusing bolero disco charm and DIY punk tropi-rock attitude on ‘Amonos Recio’ and ‘Quizás Quizás Quizás’.”
Earlier this summer, the band released “Live at Eli’s”, an album of live cumbias from a performance at Eli’s Mile High Club in Oakland, CA.
El Pecado De Juana’s intent is to share their music with the world as well as to show appreciation for the various musical styles that have shaped their musical upbringing.
