Award-winning jazz/blues recording artist Roberta Donnay’s music and voice can be heard on film and TV.
Her interest in roots music started at a young age, listening and studying jazz and blues, and led her to record with legendary jazz producer Orrin Keepnews, as well as touring for over 10 years as a member of iconic American songwriter and folk/swing inventor “Dan Hicks & The Hot Licks.”
Her Prohibition Mob have recorded 3 CDs, the live band features Grammy-winning trombonist Mike Rinta, with John Burr on piano, Heshima Mark Williams on bass, Mark Lee on drums, Danny Caron on guitar, and Scott Jensen on trumpet.
As a performer, Ms. Donnay has opened for, or performed with Joey Alexander, Bob Dorough, David Grisman, Bela Fleck, John Hammond, Herbie Hancock, Dr. John, Huey Lewis, Christian McBride, Lewis Nash, Leon Russell, Joe Sample, David Sanborn, Booker T., and more..
