“Kennedy is a treasure, from her Janis Joplin/Melissa Etheridge like vocals, to the lyrical content to a culmination in songs that are instantly memorable. Speed Bump offers up one of the tastiest morsels of music to hit the airwaves.” LA Examiner
“Your voice is enchanting, the piano so lovely and the words so simple and strong.” Jann Wenner of Rolling Stone
“Kennedy’s supporters like to tag her as “Bonnie Raitt without the slide guitar”,…(she) sings from her piano bench with the subdued tone of an artist not seeking attention but earning it.” East Bay Express
“She reminded me of a female Leonard Cohen. I mean it’s just like really that kind of conviction about her own music and not pandering to what popular music is.” Taj Mahal
